The struggle to keep my plants off the dining table continues… the afternoon light is just too lovely in this spot to not pop a couple on there! ✨🌱 #Marantamonday 🪴 This Maranta leuconeura var. kerchoveana. (bit of a tongue twister of a name!) is one of those houseplants that I’ve had for longer than I can actually remember. It’s commonly known as ‘rabbit tracks Maranta’ and the colour combination of dark brown splotches on the blue-green foliage is so striking! I love this plant because it’s resilient and tolerates periods of neglect way better than other prayer plants in my experience. #tradescantiafluminensistricolor propagations are now looking like an actual little plant! 🙌 There are 8 weeks between the first photo and the other two if you swipe to see. After potting up the cuttings they can look a bit dishevelled for a few weeks (the middle photo) but the pot is now starting to look like a plant again! That May Day evening glow making my #philodendronbrasil look all luminous and lovely. ✨✨✨ Because it’s got to get worse before it gets better…right?! A little renovation update! Hello! 👋🏼It’s been a busy few weeks here with the renovation. Here’s a #throwbackthursday from the cottage last year - some of you might remember this view. I loved the light in this spot and my big Monstera did too. I bought this vintage MOD drawer unit from an auction (to the right of the photo) with a view to use is as a vanity. Fast forward over a year later and we are getting ready to transform it. I’ll share a renovation update tomorrow as there’s been some pretty big progress! A #throwbackthursday from my big Monstera in my old apartment just before the big move. Longer time followers will know that this was ‘House Plant House 1.0’ and where I started the website and this insta after finishing my PhD. Clearly, I haven’t got fed up of writing as I’m still at it nearly 6 years later! 😊🪴 First repotting session of the season! 🍃🧡 Here are some of the plants I repotted over the Spring equinox weekend - I focused on a mixture of potting up some winter propagations that have been waiting patiently, and some of my smaller plants that required the most attention. A #throwbackthursday for #trailingthingsthursday to my old plant shelf - my Marble Queen Pothos LOVED it here, just look at those beautiful leaves! 😍
